Launched in July 2011, Piplette offers the effortless chic and ultra feminine style that make Alice Ritter well known, at friendlier prices. Piplette is a new line of separates: dresses, tops and skirts made in light and colorful fabrics balanced with well-tailored coats and jackets.

The line has recently evolved to introduce witty and modern prints, giving Piplette a spirit of sophistication. Spring ’13 brings the story of vertical stripes and flowers inspired by Alice’s garden at her country house, while Summer ’13 is a colorful and saturated story of monkeys and zebras eating pineapples.

The line draws inspiration from Alice’s French origins and her chosen place of residence, Brooklyn. The strict French codes find a perfect ally in the low-key and individual Brooklyn sensibility, like mixing Godard and Jarmusch or Charlotte Gainsbourg and Karen O!

Our Piplette is fearless, her natural style never overstated. She hangs out on Boulevard Beaumarchais in Paris or in Brooklyn with the same ease and curiosity. She is decidedly feminine, albeit with a twist, a subtle tough edge.

When Alice moved to New York from Paris over a decade ago, fashion was only a passion for the former music publicist. She got her first order while making one-of-a-kind hand-made pieces, which gave her the motivation to push the adventure further. A few years of hard work and determination garnered Alice Ritter the recognition she needed from the industry: supportive press, sponsored fashion shows, international loyal customers and in 2010 a spot in the CFDA Fashion Incubator Program.
